Although it only appears in five songs, 'Memory' is nonetheless a very important leitmotif in Undertale 's soundtrack, representing the story's (arguably) most important character, Asriel.

Notably, as discussed on the page 'On the Origins of Undertale and Deltarune's Leitmotifs', the 'Memory' motif was initially conceived of as the backing melody of Undertale, and was inspired by the opening guitar of REDLINE DAY from REDLINE.
